How to Convert JPG to PDF (Single Images and Batches)

Converting images to PDF is one of the most common document tasks — whether you’re scanning receipts, creating a photo portfolio, or turning screenshots into a shareable document. Here’s how to do it right.

Convert a Single JPG to PDF

  1. Go to pdftoolshq.com/jpg-to-pdf
  2. Upload your JPG, PNG, or GIF image
  3. Download the PDF

The image is fitted to a standard A4 page. The PDF contains one page with your image sized to fill the page cleanly.

Convert Multiple Images Into One PDF

The tool accepts multiple files at once. Upload all your images together and they’ll be combined into a single PDF — one image per page, in the order you uploaded them.
This is useful for:

  • Multi-page scanned documents (scanned one page at a time)
  • Photo reports or portfolios
  • Receipts and expense documents
  • Combining screenshots into a report

To control the page order, name your files numerically before uploading (01.jpg, 02.jpg, 03.jpg) so they sort correctly.

Supported Image Formats

The tool accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF. For best results:

  • JPG/JPEG — ideal for photos and scanned documents
  • PNG — better for screenshots, diagrams, and images with text (sharper at small sizes)
  • GIF — supported, but only the first frame is used for animated GIFs

Image Quality in the PDF

The converter preserves your original image quality — it doesn’t compress or degrade the image. If the resulting PDF is too large, run it through the Compress PDF tool afterwards to reduce file size.

Converting Screenshots to PDF

Screenshots are PNG format. They convert cleanly to PDF — useful for saving web pages, error messages, or step-by-step guides as permanent documents. If you have multiple screenshots of a long page, convert them all at once to get a single scrollable PDF document.

What to Do After Converting

Once your images are in PDF format, you might want to:

  • Make the text searchable — if your images contain text (scanned documents, photos of pages), run through the OCR tool to make the text selectable and searchable
  • Add page numbers — for multi-page documents, add page numbers with the Add Page Numbers tool
  • Merge with other PDFs — combine your image PDF with other documents using the Merge PDF tool
  • Compress it — image-heavy PDFs can be large; compress to reduce size before emailing
