My name is Mohammad Hani Reza. I built PDFToolsHQ in December 2025 and I still run every part of it myself, from Abu Dhabi. This page covers who I am, where your files go, and how the site pays for itself.
One engineer, one codebase, one server bill
I am a computer science engineer. My main work is in AI and machine learning — computer vision models, document processing pipelines, that kind of thing. PDFToolsHQ started as a side problem rather than a business plan.
I needed to compress a single PDF small enough to email. Every free tool I tried wanted me to create an account first, start a trial, or accept a watermark stamped across the file. For a task that takes thirty seconds, that was a lot to ask. So I wrote the tool I wanted, put it online in December 2025, and kept adding to it every time I hit the next wall. That is how it reached 28 tools.
There is no team here and no company. I write the code, I pay for the servers, and I am the person who answers the email. When something on this site is broken, it is broken because I have not fixed it yet.
Remove every barrier between you and your document
Most PDF tools are one of two things: desktop software you buy, or a free web tool that watermarks the output, caps the file size, or makes you sign up before it will hand the file back. For a job that takes half a minute, neither is reasonable.
PDFToolsHQ is the other option. Every tool is free, none of them require an account, files can be up to 100MB, and it all runs in the browser on any device.
How it is paid for
Advertising, and nothing else. Today I cover the server bill out of my own pocket while the site is still small; the plan is for ads to cover it instead. There is no paid tier, no subscription and no premium unlock waiting further down the page.
That model is the reason I do not need your email address, your card details or an account to let you use a tool — and the reason I have no use for your documents beyond processing them and deleting them.
Processed files come back with nothing added to them. No stamp, no badge, no trial mark across the page.
Upload, process, download. There is no sign-up step and no email address needed to use a tool.
Processing runs on dedicated Hetzner servers in Germany, not on shared hosting alongside the website.
Uploaded files and their results are removed from the server automatically within 24 hours.

What happens to a file you upload
The short version: it goes to a server in Germany, it is processed by a program, it comes back to you, and it is deleted within a day.
Uploads and downloads travel over HTTPS between your browser and the server. Nothing is sent in the clear.
Conversion and editing run on dedicated servers hosted by Hetzner in Germany, separate from the website itself.
Your upload and the file it produced are both removed automatically within 24 hours. Nothing is kept after that.
Processing is automated. I do not open your documents, and nothing you upload is used to train or improve anything.

Write to info@pdftoolshq.com and it reaches me directly — there is no support desk in between, because there is no one else here. The contact form sends to the same address.
If a tool failed on a particular file, telling me which tool and what you saw saves a round trip. Bug reports are genuinely welcome; most of what has been fixed here was found by someone else first.
